asked the Minister for Education the present position with regard to the proposed new school at Shanbally, Ringaskiddy, County Cork.

I understand from the Commissioners of Public Works that to-day is the final date for the receipt of tenders for the erection of the new Shanbally national school. Accordingly the Commissioners expect to be in a position to place a contract at an early date.

asked the Minister for Education the present position with regard to the proposed new technical school at Carrigaline, County Cork.

The preparation of sketch plans for a new vocational school at Carrigaline has been authorised and my Department awaits submission of those plans.
