Vol. 205 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Development of Westmeath Bog.

75.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have suspended development work on the Riversdale bog at Killucan, County Westmeath; and when it is intended to resume the work.

Preliminary Development, including drainage, of the residual portion of this bog was undertaken by the Land Commission last spring, at a cost of £3,300 but, as is normal in such operations, work had to be suspended temporarily to allow drains to settle. It is hoped to resume development works very soon, possibly within a fortnight.
