Vol. 207 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Tourist Association.

16.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power what are the functions of the Irish Tourist Association.

The objects and powers of the Irish Tourist Association, which is registered as a company, are set out in its memorandum and articles of association, which may be inspected at the Companies Registration Office, Dublin Castle.

17.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power (1) whether the Irish Tourist Association is in receipt of a State grant, (2) the amount subscribed by each local authority to the Association last year, and (3) the names of any local authorities that did not subscribe in any year or years during the past ten years.

The Irish Tourist Association is not in receipt of a State grant.

A statement of the amounts subscribed by local authorities to the Association in the year ended 31st March, 1963, is contained in the Association's annual report for that year, to which the Deputy might refer.

The information requested in the third part of the question is not available in my Department.
