Vol. 207 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Luska Quay (Tipperary) Roadway.

32.

asked the Minister for Lands why the public desiring to use the roadway leading to Luska Quay, Puckane, Nenagh, County Tipperary, on Lough Derg are now being prevented from doing so; whether he is aware that it has always been the custom to use this roadway and quay without hindrance; and if he will take steps to prevent any further attempts to take from the public the rights hitherto enjoyed by them at Luska.

For information on the general position about access to State lakes including Lough Derg, I would refer the Deputy to my reply to his previous question on 5th June, 1962.

My Department has not received previous representations about the particular difficulty at Luska Quay but I have requested the Land Commission to investigate the matter.
