Vol. 220 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary Estates.

42.

asked the Minister for Lands the up-to-date position with regard to the following estates in County Tipperary: (i) the Heffernan Estate, Clonmore, Cahir, (ii) the Roche Estate, Raheen, Cahir, and (iii) the Gavin Estate and the Dwyer Estate, Garrylougher, Cahir; and if they will be divided this year.

The Roche, Gavin and Dwyer properties have been taken over by the Land Commission. Possession of the Heffernan Estate has not yet been taken but there is hope that it will be arranged quite soon. Schemes are being formulated and the ambition is that all or nearly all the lands aggregating some 300 acres will be allotted this spring.
