The direct costs of the publication of Oibre were:—
No. 1 £147 0s. 0d. (approximately).
No. 2 £498 0s. 2d.
No. 3 £408 17s. 6d. (estimated).
It is not possible to give the cost of Civil Service time as the officers prepared the articles in conjunction with their normal work or in their own time, without payment of any fee.
I do not propose to suspend further publication as suggested by the Deputy.
