Vol. 221 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tipperary Hospital Wing.

62.

asked the Minister for Health if there are proposals before his Department from South Tipperary County Council for the provision of a new wing to Saint Vincent's Hospital Tipperary; and, if so, when work will commence.

Mr. O'Malley

Sketch plans for a scheme of extensions and improvements to St. Vincent's Hospital, Tipperary, have already been approved by my Department. The working drawings and other draft documents, with the exception of the bill of quantities, required for the purpose of inviting tenders for the work, have only just been received from the council and will now be examined by my Department's technical staff. I understand that the bill of quantities is being prepared. I am not yet in a position to indicate when the work may be commenced.
