Vol. 225 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Howth Housing.

13.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of the Howth area, Dublin, the number of dwellings provided by the local authority under the Housing Acts, the date on which the dwellings were provided, and the number of dwellings provided under the earlier Labourers or other Acts.

I understand from Dublin Corporation that there are 250 local authority dwellings in the former Howth Urban area. 72 of these were completed by them in 1951. 36 houses were provided by the former urban district council between 1932 and 1940, while the balance of 142 houses were built prior to 1932. Precise information is not readily available as to the dates on which these houses were provided.
