Vol. 226 No. 10

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 3, 8, and in No. 8 Vote 39, and No. 9. Private Members' Business will be taken between 6 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.

Last week on the Order of Business on Wednesday, the Taoiseach was kind enough to say he would give me information about Item No. 2 on the Order Paper today. I should be glad if he can give it now.

I propose to order it for to-morrow morning.

Can the Taoiseach indicate if a firm date has been fixed for the Budget?

It will not be this side of Easter?

I think the Deputy may take it that it will not be this side of Easter.

Will the Taoiseach indicate whether he will have three Budgets this year or one? Or will he drop one before the local elections?

(Interruptions.)

On the Order of Business, may I as one Cork Deputy to another, ask the Taoiseach if he is prepared to let out the imprisoned farmers, if he is prepared to order a general amnesty——

I have had no notice whatever of this matter.

I am just asking the Taoiseach——

The Deputy might have had the courtesy to have given me notice of this.

I am quite sure that the Taoiseach——

I am quite sure that neither the Taoiseach nor the Deputy will override the ruling of the Chair.
