Vol. 226 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Malahide Housing.

23.

asked the Minister for Local Government the present position regarding the proposals for the erection of houses by Dublin County Council in the Malahide area.

I understand that Dublin County Council recently acquired a site of about 12 acres at Yellow Walls, Malahide, that plans are being prepared for a scheme of 60 to 65 local authority houses on this site, and that a number of developed sites for private housing will also be provided there. The Council also intend to invite tenders in the near future for two rural cottages in the Malahide area and I understand that they are investigating the question of providing six cottages on existing plots in the area.
