Vol. 228 No. 6

Written Answer. - Pay Increase for Army Officers.

80.

asked the Minister for Defence if the award of £1 per week to all State employees with salaries of under £1,200 per annum has been paid to commissioned Army Officers whose salaries do not exceed £1,200 per annum; and, if not, why.

Army officers whose remuneration does not not exceed £1,200 per annum have not received an increase in remuneration of £1 per week or of any amount. The position of Army officers will be considered in the light of any decisions taken in relation to the pay of civil servants.
