Vol. 228 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Barracks Personnel.

25.

asked the Minister for Defence the number of (a) civilian employees and (b) members of the Army in Clancy Barracks, Dublin, and the area of the barracks.

The number of civilian employees in Clancy Barracks at present is 203.

I do not consider that it would be in the interests of security to state the number of military personnel in any particular barracks.

The area of Clancy Barracks, including the area occupied by buildings, is 13 acres 1 rood and 14 square perches.

Would the Minister say if it would be contrary to security to state the number of horses in the Army? Would it be against the national interest to give the number?

The Deputy would look well if he were properly mounted.

That is not answering the question.

As long as he is not mixed in with the asses in the Fianna Fáil Party, he may not look so bad.
