Vol. 232 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick County Council Tenants.

76.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will confirm in the public interest that the recent appointments of tenants of Limerick County Council houses at Marian Park, Patrickswell, were solely the responsibility of the County Manager of Limerick County Council and that the members of the council had no function in the matter.

The letting of local authority dwellings in accordance with statutory requirements is an executive function of the council performable subject to the provisions of the County Management (Amendment) Act, 1955, by the County Manager.
