asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that the decision of the Garda Commissioner to enforce one-hour parking restrictions on the southern side of Saint Patrick's Quay, Cork, has caused hardship and inconvenience and has proved unnecessary; and if he will consult with the Commissioner with a view to the relaxation of the restriction.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork City Parking Restriction.
16.
Parking restrictions in Cork are imposed by the Cork Parking Temporary Rules, 1967, made by the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána with my consent. These rules will expire on 28th June next.
Any modification of the rules either now or after 28th June would be a matter primarily for the Commissioner who is aware of the various local interests affected by the rules.
