Vol. 233 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Louth Estates.

24.

asked the Minister for Lands the number of estates in County Louth, with details of their acreage and ownership, in which his Department or the Land Commission have expressed interest by walking the lands, by serving notice, by order, or by ordinary letter to the owners; and which estates have not as yet been acquired by the Land Commission.

The Deputy will, I feel sure, understand that it would be invidious and improper to single out for publicity such landowners as are negotiating with the Land Commission or whose lands are merely the subject of tentative consideration. I propose, therefore, to give the information requested in respect of such compulsory cases as are published in pursuance of the statutes together with a general note about the number of properties which are the subject of voluntary purchase proceedings; this information is contained in a tabular statement which, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, will be circulated with the Official Report.
