Vol. 236 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - FCA Uniform.

63.

asked the Minister for Defence if a commission has been set up to examine the question of a new uniform for the FCA; if so, when; when a new uniform will be issued to replace that made from bulls wool; and what the design will be.

A Commission has not been set up to examine the question of a new uniform for the FCA. The material in the FCA uniform is the same as that used for Na Buan Óglaigh and is regarded as satisfactory.

A change in design is not at present contemplated. The matter is, however, being kept under review and if any improvements can be introduced at a reasonable cost I will consider them.
