asked the Minister for Labour the number of conciliation conferences arranged by the Labour Court's conciliation service during the first six months of 1969; and the number of such conferences which led to settlements between the parties involved.

I am informed by the Labour Court that conciliation conferences were held in respect of 184 issues during the first six months of 1969. These conferences, involving 354 meetings, led to settlement in 141 cases.
