asked the Minister for Justice the number of gardaí allocated to cover the area of Waterford city.

asked the Minister for Justice the number of gardaí allocated to cover the area of Galway city.

asked the Minister for Justice the number of gardaí allocated to cover the area of Dundalk town, County Louth.

The strength of the Garda Síochána at the centres referred to is as follows:—

Waterford city

asked the Minister for Justice the percentage by which the Garda force at present falls short of full complement.

The authorised strength of the Garda Síochána has for some years been 6,560, and the numbers actually serving do not vary from this except to a negligible extent.

The number serving at present is 6,538, that is, 3 per cent below the authorised strength.
