asked the Taoiseach the latest available figures for the population of Ballyfermot, Dublin.

The population of Ballyfermot Ward in Dublin County Borough at the census of population, 1966, was 33,910 persons.

asked the Taoiseach the latest available figures for the population of Waterford city.

The population of Waterford County Borough at the census of population, 1966, was 29,842 persons.

asked the Taoiseach the latest available figures for the population of Galway city.

The population of Galway Municipal Borough at the census of population, 1966, was 24,597 persons. In addition, 1,698 persons were enumerated in the suburbs of Galway, giving a total population of 26,295 persons for the entire city and suburbs.

Could the Parliamentary Secretary state what the previous figure was?

I am afraid I have not got that figure.

That seems to be a separate question.

asked the Taoiseach the latest available figures for the population of Dundalk town, County Louth.

The population of Dundalk Urban District at the census of population, 1966, was 20,002 persons. In addition, 1,676 persons were enumerated in the environs of Dundalk giving a total population of 21,678 persons for the entire town and environs.
