Vol. 242 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Rural Electrification.

67.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power why the ESB have not carried out the promised extensions in the Dingle Peninsula.

I have been informed by the ESB that they have not been able to make the progress hoped for with the post development scheme on the Dingle Peninsula because of the demand on available resources to meet priority connections and system improvement to maintain adequate supply to those already connected.

Would the Minister take some steps to have the position improved?

These people have been waiting for the last two years.

Since the Deputy put down the question I have taken steps.
