Vol. 244 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin District Garda Strength.

8.

asked the Minister for Justice the present strength of the "F" Garda Division, Dublin; if he considers it to be of sufficient strength; if not, what steps he is taking to correct this situation; if he has considered the necessity of erecting new Garda stations in this division; and, if so, where.

The total strength of "F" Garda district is 149.

The Commissioner, Garda Siochána, considers this reasonable, having regard to the overall strength of the force and the demands of other districts in the Dublin metropolitan area.

There are no proposals for erecting new stations in the district at present.
