Vol. 246 No. 1

Written Answers. - North Tipperary Amenity Scheme.

76.

Mr. Dunne

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will expedite sanction of amenity scheme at Mota, Ballinderry, Nenagh, proposals for which have been submitted by Tipperary North Riding County Council.

On 11th February last I received a preliminary application for an amenity grant towards the cost of this scheme followed on 3rd April by more detailed documents which had been requested. The proposal is at present under consideration and a decision will be conveyed to the local authority in due course. It is not yet clear whether the moneys likely to be available for amenity grants in the current year will permit new commitments being made. The position is at present being reviewed.
