Vol. 246 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Water Schemes.

20.

asked the Minister for Local Government what is the position regarding the proposed regional water schemes in County Monaghan.

On the 22nd October 1969 the local authority were informed that consideration of the Monaghan regional water supply scheme was being deferred pending an investigation of the possibility of augmenting the supply to Carrickmacross from local sources. No other regional scheme proposals from County Monaghan are before my Department.

21.

asked the Minister for Local Government the present position regarding the provision of a piped water supply for the housing scheme at Killyneil, County Monaghan.

Approval in principle was given last February to the county council's proposal for this water supply scheme.

22.

asked the Minister for Local Government the total mileage of pipes involved in providing regional water schemes in County Longford; and the number of dwellings serviced by the schemes.

This information is not available in my Department.
