Vol. 246 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Housing.

37.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether there are any proposals before him from the Dublin County Council for the erection of houses in The Naul, County Dublin; and, if so, when he proposes to sanction these proposals.

Dublin County Council recently submitted a layout plan for a scheme of 16 cottages at The Naul, ten of which will be built initially. I have approved the plan and informed the council that they may have detailed documents prepared with a view to the invitation of tenders.

38.

asked the Minister for Local Government when Leitrim County Council lodged plans for houses in Drumkeerin with his Department; when sanction for such houses will be given; and for how many houses.

A layout plan, specification and estimate of cost for two houses at Drumkeerin were received in my Department on the 16th March last. The specification and estimate were approved on 16th April but, as further housing development on the site is intended, the council were asked to prepare a layout plan for the whole site. When this is received, a decision will be given without delay.
