Vol. 246 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Refuse Dumping.

75.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the growing problem of indiscriminate refuse dumping in this country at the present time; and what steps he proposes to take to rectify the matter.

Sanitary authorities already have adequate legal powers to deal with unauthorised refuse dumping in their areas. Responsibility for taking appropriate steps in any particular case rests with these authorities.
