Vol. 247 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sub-Postmasters' Salaries.

50.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he has had representation made to him by the Sub-Postmasters Union for an increase in their salaries; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Claims by the Sub-Postmasters' Union for increases in remuneration are proper to be dealt with under the scheme of conciliation and arbitration for sub-postmasters agreed with the union, and two union claims for increases are being considered at present by the conciliation council. It would be inappropriate for me to comment on the claims at this stage.
