andMr. Cowen asked the Minister for Local Government if he will sanction the tender submitted to him by Offaly County Council for the erection of two council houses at Lisnageeragh, Roscrea in the County Offaly.

I sanctioned these proposals last week.

andMr. Cowen asked the Minister for Local Government if he will sanction the lay-out plans for the new houses at Clonbulloge, County Offaly, submitted recently by Offaly County Council, as there is an urgent need for housing in the area.

A revised layout for this scheme is awaited following consultation between representatives of the Department and of the county council. When the revised layout is received, I will give my decision without delay.

andMr. Cowen asked the Minister for Local Government if he will sanction the tender submitted by Laois County Council for the erection of 26 houses in Mountmellick.

I approved the acceptance by the county council of this tender last week.
