Vol. 248 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mayo Housing.

63.

asked the Minister for Local Government if there are any proposals by Mayo County Council for the erection of houses in Mayo towns where houses are so urgently needed; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I would refer the Deputy to the replies to his Questions No. 57 of 5th February, 1970 and No. 27 of 25th June, 1970, on this subject. In regard to Claremorris, I gave my approval in May last to plans for a scheme of 25 dwellings and tenders for the proposed 22 house scheme in Ballina are at present being examined by the National Building Agency Ltd. No further proposals have been received by me from Mayo County Council.
