asked the Minister for Local Government when he received the preliminary report on the main drainage scheme from Blanchardstown to Mulhuddart, County Dublin; and when he proposes to authorise the county council to proceed with the next stage of this scheme.

114.

asked the Minister for Local Government when the preliminary report on the connection from Ashtown to the Grand Canal drainage scheme at Golden Bridge, County Dublin, was received by his Department; and when he proposes to authorise the next stage.

With your permission, a Leas-Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 113 and 114 together.

The preliminary report for these sections of the Greater Dublin drainage scheme was received on the 17th November, 1969. The overall scheme was approved in principle by my Department on the 12th March, 1970, and I understand that the contract documents for the Mulhuddart/Blanchardstown section of the work are in course of preparation by the local authority.
