I would refer the Deputy to my reply on Wednesday, 8th April, 1970, to a similar question. In view of the recent trend in wage rates and increases in social welfare benefits in this country a further review of the question of signing and ratifying the European Code of Social Security and the Protocol thereto has been necessary. It is hoped to reach a final decision very shortly.
