Vol. 249 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questious. Oral Answers. - Cabra (Dublin) Swimming Pool.

3.

asked the Minister for Health when the swimming pool at Cabra school for the Deaf, Dublin, will be provided.

The provision of a swimming pool at St. Mary's School for Hearing Impaired Children, Cabra, has been under consideration by the authorities of the school for some time. I understand that they are at present awaiting a decision from the Dublin County Council on their application for a partial grant towards the cost of the pool. In so far as the question of assistance from the Hospitals Trust Fund is concerned, the school authorities were informed by my Department earlier this year that a grant not exceeding one-third of the cost of the pool, subject to an overall maximum of £10,000, would be made available from the Fund.
