asked the Minister for External Affairs if he will make a statement on the final outcome of the discussions with the British Government on the question of Irish ships being intercepted by British navy vessels; and what guarantees, if any, have been given that no recurrence of these events will take place.

I have nothing to add to the information given to Dáil Éireann previously on this subject.
