Vol. 252 No. 12

Written Answer. - Land Commission House.

57.

asked the Minister for Lands the present position of a person in Athlone (name supplied) who has been the tenant of a Land Commission house for some months; and if this tenancy is permanent.

Since November of last year, the person referred to in the question is in occupation of the house under a letting for the temporary convenience of the Land Commission, pending a ruling for the disposal of the premises under the Land Acts.

Composite resale proposals are envisaged for this property and several others in the area, aggregating 258 acres. Pending completion of the necessary detailed inquiries on the ground it is not possible to indicate when a comprehensive scheme of division and rearrangement can be planned.
