asked the Minister for Finance how much money has been spent in 1970 on drainage in Counties Sligo and Leitrim apart from the local improvement grants paid by the county councils.

Drainage works undertaken by the Office of Public Works under the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, are carried out on catchment areas. During 1970 drainage construction works on the Kilcoo and Moy Catchments and maintenance works on the Duff Catchment areas of Counties Sligo and Leitrim took place at a total cost of £65,400.
