On the 24th November, 1971, planning permission was refused by me on appeal for the construction of a preparation room in connection with the sale of fried fish and chips and for the alteration to a shop front on the site referred to by the Deputy. The reason for refusal was that the proposed development would seriously injure the amenities of residential property in the vicinity by reason of the noise, disturbance, and odours which would be associated with it.
It is not clear what the Deputy means by the second part of his question; if it is a question of enforcement, this is a matter for the Dublin Corporation.

I wish to raise the subject matter of Question No. 23 of 30th November last on the Adjournment. I was told last week when I raised this matter that I could not raise it then.
