asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission will inspect the Ellen Keaveney estate, Gloon, Glenamaddy, County Galway with a view to acquisition and division.

From the particulars furnished it has not been found possible to identify the holding referred to by the Deputy. However, I am asking the Land Commission to make further inquiries.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission will purchase the Healy estate, Knock, Milltown, County Galway, which has been offered for sale and divide it among the small farmers in that area.

The determination of lands to be acquired is a matter reserved exclusively to the Commissioners.

I understand that the Land Commission have decided to carry out an inspection of this 78 acre property and the requisite notice under the Land Act, 1965, was served last month. Until such time as the inspection has been completed, it is not possible to indicate what action may follow.
