asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he is aware of a request made by the Central Consultative Committee on 11th November, 1968, 6th June, 1969 and 18th June, 1970 that the committee be allowed to nominate three directors to the Dairy Disposal Company Limited; and what action, if any, he proposes to take on his request.

I am aware of the committee's request to that company in this matter. The company has six directors which is regarded as adequate.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries the names of the directors of the Dairy Disposal Committee Limited; their occupation at the time of appointment; the manner of their appointment and qualifications; and the total amount of salary and travelling expenses payable to each.

Each of the Directors, having been nominated by the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, was appointed by resolution of the Board as provided for in the Company's Articles of Association. Travelling expenses are paid at Civil Service rates.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries the number of shares held by the Dairy Disposal Company Limited in the South Western Cattle Breeding Society Limited; and who represents the company on the society.

The reply to the first part is: two hundred shares direct and two hundred through a subsidiary, and to the second part: four directors and two officials.
