Total beef consumption in the United Kingdom in 1970, the latest year for which information is available, was estimated at 1,180,200 tons according to figures contained in the Meat and Dairy Produce Bulletin of the commonwealth secretariat. Exports of beef to the United Kingdom from this country in 1971 amounted to 105,948 tons.
