asked the Minister for Local Government the percentage of expenditure borne by urban authorities for the year 1970-71 from (a) grants and (b) rates.
I propose, with your permission a Cheann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 51 and 52 together. The percentages of county councils' expenditure met from State grants and rates in 1970-71 were 63.6 and 23.4 respectively. The corresponding percentages for urban authorities were 31.3 and 47.8.
