asked the Minister for Lands if he will give details of the three transactions which involve the sale of land to aliens of an aggregate area of 710 acres in County Tipperary during 1971.

The reply is in the form of a tabular statement which I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:—

NOTES:

The transaction at (1) was the transfer from an Irishwoman (who had purchased in 1970) to her American husband.

The transaction at (2) was in respect of a stud property.

The transaction at (3) was in respect of a very large mansion with mainly ornamental land.
