Vol. 260 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mentally Handicapped Children.

39.

asked the Minister for Education whether there are any proposals in his Department for additional accommodation for mentally handicapped children in the Sacred Heart Convent, Roscrea, County Tipperary; and, if so, when sanction will be issued.

Two classrooms are to be built at the Sacred Heart Convent, Roscrea, to cater for mildly mentally handicapped children.

Sketch plans prepared by the manager's architect have been accepted as satisfactory by my Department. The Department hopes to be in a position to sanction a grant shortly.
