Vol. 263 No. 1

Return to Writ: Mid-Cork. - Order of Business.

It is proposed to take Nos. 1, 2, 20 and 7, No. 7 to be taken in conjunction with No. 20.

(Cavan): Could the Taoiseach give us any indication of the legislation it is proposed to introduce during this session?

The Deputy had plenty of time to submit that question in advance of the session. There is quite a volume; I can let him have details tomorrow morning. It is a pity the Deputy did not ask me for it earlier today and I would have it for him now.

(Cavan): Are we to have a Bill to revise the constituencies?

I shall give the Deputy that information tomorrow.

Would the Taoiseach say when it is proposed to take No. 21 on today's Order Paper?

It is ready for the Second Stage, so it will be taken during the session.

How soon during the session? This happened before, as the Taoiseach is aware, and it took ten years to bring legislation back into this House. I would be afraid of a general election and it might go.

It could happen.

Would the Tánaiste be able to say when he could take it?

It is ready for the Second Reading as soon as it can be fitted in.

Could it be taken next week? It will take only a few minutes.

It is a little more complicated than that.

Would the Taoiseach say when No. 33 will be taken?

It will be ready at the end of this month or the beginning of next month.
