Vol. 266 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Parking Fines.

44.

asked the Minister for Justice the amount collected in parking fines in Limerick in 1972.

(Cavan): I presume the Deputy is referring to the “fines-on-the-spot” scheme, which was introduced in Limerick on 1st May, 1965.

The total amount remitted to my Department during the year 1972 in respect of payments made under the "fines-on-the-spot" scheme for parking offences in Limerick was £7,948.
