Mr. Ahern

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will expedite the joint sewerage scheme of the Midleton Urban District Council and Cork County Council as the backwash of the inner harbour between Midleton and Ballinacurra is causing an obnoxious odour.

Mr. Tully

Preliminary proposals for this scheme were approved on the 12th December last.

It is for the local authority to expedite the further planning of the scheme.
