The IDA is not performing functions formerly undertaken by county development teams. Arising out of the comments of the Public Accounts Committee in their reports on the 1968-69 and 1969-70 Appropriation Accounts, the question of the transfer of some of the functions of the teams to the IDA is at present under consideration.
In view of the fact that both Ministers concerned have at my request solved the problem most satisfactorily in connection with Portlaoise I feel there will be no need for me to ask the Minister Question No. 22.
The Deputy is on the wrong question. It has not been answered.
The matter has been disposed of in a most satisfactory manner by the two Ministers concerned for which I am very grateful.
