asked the Minister for Transport and Power the effect the work-to-rule of the Aviation Technical Officers' Association will have on flights to Ireland.

31.
The Aviation Technical Officers' Association imposed a "work-to-rule" regime at Dublin Airport during a period of one week from 1st to 8th February, 1974. Due to favourable weather conditions the effect on air traffic operations was small. Ten incoming and ten outgoing flights were cancelled or diverted. A serious deterioration of weather conditions could however have closed down the airport. The work to rule was suspended on 8th February and discussions on the issues which gave rise to it are at present proceeding between the association and my Department.
