Inquiries have been made from suppliers and hospitals and in general the supply position as respects surgical sterile gloves appears reasonably satisfactory. Shortages have occurred in some areas however and in a few instances supplies were slow to arrive at certain hospitals. One particular brand of such gloves, especially the popular size, is stated to be on short supply at present. I have asked the Hospitals Joint Services Board to do what they can to meet any difficulties experienced by hospitals in obtaining supplies of these gloves.
