asked the Minister for Lands the acreage of land held by the Forest and Wildlife Service on 31st December, 1973.

(Cavan): The total area of land held by the Forest and Wildlife Service of my Department on 31st December, 1973, was 782,418 acres. Of this area, 691,919 acres were plantable and 597,633 acres were actually under woods and plantations, giving a plantable reserve of 94,286 acres.
