Bandon is served by three kiosks and a call office which are not extensively used. Provision of extra kiosks is not regarded as warranted.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when it is hoped to extend STD facilities to Monaghan town and area.
It is expected that STD facilities will be extended to subscribers connected to Monaghan exchange during the last quarter of 1975.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when it is proposed to convert the Fermoy and Michelstown telephone exchanges, County Cork, to automatic working.
It is expected on the basis of estimates of completion of installation work by the contractor concerned that Fermoy manual exchange will be converted to automatic working at the end of October next and that the existing automatic exchange at Mitchelstown will be replaced by a new exchange about the end of the year.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will provide a public telephone kiosk at the village of Liscooley, County Donegal.
My Department are not at present providing kiosks in areas such as Liscooley where there is no post office.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the inadequacy of the telephone service in the Duhallow area in north-west Cork; and if he will receive a deputation from the area as requested by the Duhallow Development Association.
I am aware that service difficulties are being experienced in parts of the Duhallow area due to overloading during busy periods of exchanges serving them. Additional switchboard equipment is at present being installed in Kanturk and Mallow exchanges and extra equipment will also be provided at Mill street as soon as an accommodation problem there can be resolved.
I shall be glad to arrange to have a deputation from the association mentioned received by officers of my Department.
