Vol. 273 No. 5

Ceisteanna-Questions. Oral Answers. - County Wicklow Road.

91.

asked the Minister for Local Government if, in the case of the new road through the Glen-of-the-Downs, Kilpeddar, County Wicklow, he will state (a) the initial commencement date of work on this section of road (b) the total amount of money spent to date (c) the amount per mile and (d) the projected completion date.

Information in the form requested by the Deputy is not available in my Department. Approval to a scheme for the provision of a dual carriageway between Kilpeddar and the Glen-of-the-Downs, a distance of 1.8 miles, issued to Wicklow County Council on 16th January, 1973. I am informed that the work is at an advanced stage. The final cost is estimated at £464,000 for road works and £64,000 for a bridge.
